Quarrystone Event Planning and Catering was founded in 1998 by owner Kelly Kazakoff, who was born and raised in West Vancouver and is a graduate of Simon Fraser University. Kelly managed and operated restaurants in Vancouver for 17 years before moving to Saltspring Island with her husband Barry and three young children Sydney, Sacha and Chase.
Kelly is in her 13th year of both planning and catering weddings throughout Salt Spring and will create memorable occasions for you and your guests, from private homes to luxury resorts, art galleries and an array of venues across Saltspring Island. Kelly offers a multitude of services whether a rehearsal dinner or brunch, the cocktail reception and wedding dinner, or the whole weekend of your wedding weekend, she offers enthusiasm, experience and a reputation for excellence.
In 2001, Barry and Kelly opened their first restaurant on the waterfront in Ganges Harbour called The Oystercatcher Seafood Bar and Grill. With stunning waterfront views, large, covered, outdoor patios with fireplaces both inside and out. The Oystercatcher is a magnificent location for weddings, rehearsal dinners, brunches and cocktail receptions. From October through to April you can have your private function entirely to yourselves at the Oystercatcher.
With their 4 restaurants, a catering division, and complete wedding planning, Kelly, Barry and their teams are well equipped to make your wedding day a successful and stree-free event, from a small intimate gathering to a grand event of up to 300.
